
Recently, I’ve been working on adding to my DVD collection. In doing so, I started looking through my collection of what I consider to be “car” movies. It got me to thinking: How do you determine what qualifies as a “car” movie and, more importantly, how do you determine the best “car” movie ever made?
Determining what qualifies as a “car” movie?
This was more difficult than I thought. In the end, my criteria came down to the simple fact that the plot of the movie needed to be about a car(s), car racing, or prominently feature cars in supporting roles.

Well, I have my opinion of course, but I’m going to leave it up to you. The list below is one I put together based on my favorites. If I missed one, or your opinion differs, please let me know by commenting below. I’ll add in all the individual comments once the poll is complete.
Based on the fact that this is a Porsche themed blog and most of the people who read this are Porsche fans, I’m thinking the winner won’t be any big surprise, but you never know. Let’s see how the results turn out. Thanks for voting!

Had to be LeMans, but, I did love Cars, too, because Sally was so cute. I suppose “Doc Hollywood” doesn’t count, but, it should get a mention, somehow.
