That was 4 years of restorer delays, leading to FINALLY being 6 months or less before the completion of what will be a concourse, meticulous restoration. Until now, I was questioning the decision to have made this commitment. After watching this video, I am beside myself with excitement. Proud to finally be close to driving my childhood fantasy car-the "bathtub Porsche"! After almost 40 years of owning/restoring big block & fuel injected solid axle, sting ray thru chrome bumper Vette’s, I made the decision to purchase a 1964 Porsche 356 SC cabrio.
That was 4 years of restorer delays, leading to FINALLY being 6 months or less before the completion of what will be a concourse, meticulous restoration.

It's funny how some of these shows from 40 or 50 years ago are so captivating. Please make sure that these films are adequately protected for the future generations of Porschephiles. I had the opportunity in 2005 to have a tour of the factory and the scenes still run through my mind from time to time and are greatly cherished. To see so many beautiful 356's all at once was great. All I could think of was RUST when I saw the pan assemblies and how little they did to protect them from the wonders of salt and water. Imagine how many more would still be alive if the undercoatings back then had been better. Nonetheless, the videos were great and to see so those 356's in the yard was wonderful.
